Great Ice Cream Eating Championship
Join us for the Spring 2023 Rise & Nye's Great Ice Cream Eating Championship. May 20th. 11:30am.
A $20 fee (supports our nonprofit, Inclusion Revolution) gives contestants the opportunity to win an array of spectacular prizes along with the pride of being named Sarasota’s Ice Cream Eating Champ.
Showdown — 1534 State St. in downtown Sarasota.
Adult Contestants
Bring Your Eating A-Game!
The winner of the adult category will receive a deluxe certificate good for a dinner cruise for two aboard the Marina Jack II (donated by Greg Corvelle). Two runners-up will receive Rise & Nye’s $20 gift cards and a t-shirt.

Younger (but mighty) Contestants
Show 'em What Ya Got!
The winner will create and name his / her own ice cream (meet with Chef Christian Nye to develop a custom ice cream flavor, make the ice cream to sell at Rise & Nye’s), and be a “Celebrity Scooper” for the ice cream’s debut. Two runners-up will receive Rise & Nye’s $20 gift cards and a t-shirt.
